Set up the employer side before the first working day.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Before hiring<\/h2>\n<ul class=\"ba-checklist wp-block-list\"><li>Check the person&#8217;s right to work and identification obligations.<\/li><li>Determine whether a sector cao applies.<\/li><li>Register as an employer with Belastingdienst where required and set up payroll.<\/li><li>Prepare a compliant employment contract and required written employment information.<\/li><li>Check minimum wage, holiday allowance, leave and working-time rules.<\/li><li>Check compulsory pension-fund participation.<\/li><li>Arrange occupational health\/reintegration support and workplace risk obligations.<\/li><li>Budget employer costs above gross salary, including payroll taxes\/insurance and other employment costs.<\/li><\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Employee, contractor or agency worker?<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The label on an invoice or contract does not by itself decide employment status. If you hire a zzp&#8217;er but the relationship functions as employment, tax and labour consequences can follow.
