Losing a job does not automatically mean every unemployed person receives WW: eligibility depends on your insured employment history, loss of working hours and the circumstances in which employment ended.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The basic work-history test<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">UWV&#8217;s 2026 guidance says the basic wekeneis is work in at least 26 of the 36 weeks before unemployment. Meeting that test can give three months of WW. A longer duration depends on the jareneis and employment history.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Do not resign casually if you expect WW<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">How employment ends matters. Voluntary resignation can jeopardise WW.
