We plan to offer an option to pass your request to suitable Dutch teachers who can contact you. Before any personal details are shared, the form should state clearly what will be shared, with whom and for what purpose.

Books and structured courses

For serious study, a structured NT2 method can provide the progression that random apps and videos often lack. Nederlands in gang is a widely used communicative method for theoretically educated learners working toward A2; a revised edition appeared in 2026. The broader Boom NT2 catalogue includes follow-on material for higher levels.

For culture rather than language drills, books such as Stuff Dutch People Hate use humour to explain Dutch irritations and cultural habits. Lekker Direct focuses on Dutch communication and directness and has a direct connection to Borderless Advice: it was written by Borderless Advice founder Steven Gerrit.

Affiliate note: All links are provided for your convenience and selected with your benefit in mind. This level indication is practical guidance, not an official CEFR rating.

Try a four-step routine: watch once for gist; rewatch with Dutch subtitles where available; note a few reusable phrases; then summarize the item aloud or in writing.
