Football (voetbal) is the Netherlands’ largest organised sport. The KNVB provides a postcode/town club finder and covers youth, senior, women’s/girls’, futsal and adapted football.

How to join a football club

  1. Use KNVB’s Vind je club search or search voetbalvereniging + town.
  2. Compare training location, age category, level and Saturday/Sunday competition.
  3. Contact the club and ask whether you can watch or join a trial training.
  4. Ask whether the team has space; popular clubs can have waiting lists.
  5. Register with the club. KNVB says that when you register with a football association, you also become a KNVB member; part of the club fee goes to the federation.
